Built in 1887, Dene House is a beautiful guest house which carefully blends the modern with the traditional. The Log House is an historic Norwegian log cabin in Ambleside, the heart of the English Lake District. Originally brought to the Lake District by Artist Alfred Heaton Cooper nearly 100 years ago as a home and studio. The Log House now serves as a restaurant with three comfortable double en-suite bedrooms. Please note the restaurant is closed for dinner on Mondays

The Queen's Head is an historic 17th Century Coaching Inn, situated in the Troutbeck Valley, just 3 miles from Windermere. Throughout the inn are solid oak beams, stone flag floors and heartwarming log fires by which you can enjoy a deserved drink, ordered from the bar which was once an Elizabethan four-poster bed from a room in Appleby Castle.
