Rosemount is an elegant Victorian Lakeland stone house built in 1884. Recently taken over by new owners, it is a warm & friendly house, with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Our beds are crisp & comfortable and our full English breakfasts are extremely tasty – particularly the sausages! Guests staying for 2 nights or more will have free use of the Parklands Leisure club, perfect for relaxing after a busy week. Situated a short walk from both Windermere & Bowness-on-Windermere, Rosemount is ideally situated for whatever type of break you fancy. Good restaurants and pubs are within walking distance and for those who fancy a spot of shopping Ambleside is about a 10 minute drive. Rosemount is the perfect place from which to explore Beattrix Potter's home at Hill Top or to take a ride on one of the boats from Bowness Pier. If walking is what you are after you, Langdale Valley is approximately 20 minutes by car, offering ample routes - the only thing you have to decide is how energetic you are feeling! There is parking for 6 cars at the front of the property & for people visiting without a car we are within walking distance of Windermere train station and on the main bus route, so exploring the English Lake District couldn't be easier.
