Awarded four silver stars, this charming 19th Century Lake District Town House provides 16 en-suite rooms (re-finished in 2008) offering guests relaxing comfortable beds and freshly prepared Cumbrian breakfasts. All rooms have been dressed with bespoke soft furnishings, high quality mattresses, flat screen TV's and hard wood furniture. The guest lounge offers a relaxing area with panormaic views, leather Chesterfields and a Chess board. Parking is not a problem in the tarmaced and enclosed car park with ample space for all guests. The properties location in the quiet town of Windermere, just a ten minute walk from the train station, is ideal for people wishing to explore the surrounding Lake District then be able to stroll into town for something to eat or a drink in the evening. Windermere's refurbished town centre also offers a variety of small shops and with the village of Bowness a short walk away there is plenty of opportunity to relax and let time go by.
Rosemount is an elegant Victorian Lakeland stone house built in 1884. Recently taken over by new owners, it is a warm & friendly house, with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Our beds are crisp & comfortable and our full English breakfasts are extremely tasty – particularly the sausages! Guests staying for 2 nights or more will have free use of the Parklands Leisure club, perfect for relaxing after a busy week. Situated a short walk from both Windermere & Bowness-on-Windermere, Rosemount is ideally situated for whatever type of break you fancy. Good restaurants and pubs are within walking distance and for those who fancy a spot of shopping Ambleside is about a 10 minute drive. Rosemount is the perfect place from which to explore Beattrix Potter's home at Hill Top or to take a ride on one of the boats from Bowness Pier. If walking is what you are after you, Langdale Valley is approximately 20 minutes by car, offering ample routes - the only thing you have to decide is how energetic you are feeling! There is parking for 6 cars at the front of the property & for people visiting without a car we are within walking distance of Windermere train station and on the main bus route, so exploring the English Lake District couldn't be easier. A small friendly informal non smoking B&B in a quiet street very close to Bowness's shops and Restaurants. A short walk to the Lake or to Biskey Howe viewpoint, in the heart of the beautiful Lake District. Great cooked breakfasts using award winning local ingredients and Fairtrade Tea and Coffee. We are ideally located just 200m, if you're walking, from either Windermere railway station or the main bus stop at Windermere Tourist Information and we're just the same distance from the centre of town.
