 Nestling in a stunning rural setting in the historic Rydal Valley near Ambleside amidst the fells, this grand Victorian building was built as a farm house in 1848, before being converted into a Country Guest House in the early 1930's. At the lights, take the left fork and follow this road for approximately 1.5 miles until it becomes a two-lane, one-way street. Remain in the left hand lane and follow the road round. The road then becomes two lanes as you reach the shops, you need to be in the left hand lane. Turn left at the top and follow this road for about a mile and you will see the sign for Crow How on the left hand side of the road. We are at the bottom of this driveway. From the North - Junction 40, M6 motorway. Follow signs for Keswick, then the B5322 (St. Johns in the Vale) to Thirlmere and Grasmere and then Rydal. Shortly after passing Rydal Water you will see the sign for Crow How on the right hand side of the road. By Public Transport - Windermere is the closest station (5 miles). At Windermere station you can either take the '555' bus heading towards Keswick, or you can take a taxi through to Crow How Country House.
